Hi, I'm Julie
I am a designer and developer with a passion for strategy and user experience. I am an advocate for digital accessibility, sustainability and usability. Whether working with businesses, not-for-profits or individuals, I’ve seen the power of digital experiences to have positive real-world outcomes and to promote change.
I love when my clients tell me that their new website has made an impact or just alleviated some of their day-to-day frustrations. One memorable client struggled with receiving many calls from the wrong people and our goal was to clarify their services and encourage only the right customers to reach out. The result? Fewer calls from the wrong people, and more calls from potential customers. No AI chatbot required.
Background + Experience
For over a decade, I have worked with clients in the fields of advocacy, architecture, arts and culture, design, government, real estate, outdoor, fashion, psychology, technology and more. I believe digital experiences can have positive real-world outcomes and my most successful projects are those that prioritize strategy and UX design to achieve the goals of my clients while supporting the needs of their audience.
Previously, I worked in communications and marketing for nonprofit organizations. As a communications professional, I designed publications and planned and executed traditional and digital marketing initiatives. I merge these skills with technical knowledge, resulting in a thoughtful approach, excellent attention to detail, and a pixel-perfect outcome.

An avid reader and writer, I also write fiction and am currently working on my first novel. In my spare time I’m often found walking or cycling along the Vancouver seawall, practicing yoga or indulging in a good detective series.
